I was going thru old 90's comics for reference last night, and I realize there was NEVER a damned consensus or model sheet for ArchAngel. No X-Men artist draws his metal wings the same way! Half the time it's just "Whatever, here's some triangles and we'll keep the entirety of the wings out of frame. Fuck it."
I think that's why they gave him his feather wings back. THOSE always look the same, and people can figure out how to draw them.
